Voltaren  (U.S.N.L.M.)
Dosing  Cataract Surgery 1 drop qid beginning 24 hours after surgery continuing for 2 weeks
Dosing Corneal Refrctv Surgery 1 or 2 drops within the hour prior to corneal refractive surgery. 1 or 2 drops within
15 minutes after surgery, and continued 4 times daily for up to 3 days.

Class NSAID (COX inhibitor.)
Action Inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.
Usage Indicated for postoperative inflammation in cataract extraction and for the
temporary relief of pain and photophobia in corneal refractive surgery.
Discontinue use on evidence of corneal epithelial breakdown.
Contraindications Hypersensitive to any component of the medication.
Pediatric use Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.
Pregnancy Category C Prostaglandin biosynthesis inhibitors harm the fetal cardiovascular system.
