Class aminoglycoside, corticosteroid
Action Aminoglycosides prevent bacterial protein synthesis. Corticosteroids
inhibit arachidonic acid release.

Activity Active against a wide variety of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria

Usage Indicated for steroid-responsive inflammatory conditions where superficial

Contraindications Acanthamoeba, most viral, mycobacterial, and fungal disease. Hypersensitivity
to this or other aminoglycosides, corticosteroids, or any components of the
medication.

Pediatric use > 2 years
